Directions from Faro Airport.
On leaving Faro airport, bear right at the roundabout following the signs to Faro and then to the A22 (or IP1) motorway, the main east-west highway which links the Algarve to Spain. After 3 kilometres, follow the signs to the motorway to Lisbon (Lisboa), Portimão and Loulé. This takes you on to the main N125 heading north, away from Faro
After a further 4.5 kilometres get into the left-hand lane in order to bear left, continuing to follow the signs to Loule and the A22/IP1.
After a further 3.5 kilometres, join the A22 motorway direction Lisbon, Portimão and Albufeira.
Continue on the motorway until you see the turn for Silves. Follow this road for about five kilometres. You will descend towards the town with the town on your left. Turn left at the bottom of the hill over the bridge. Get in the right-hand lane at the traffic lights. Turn right in the direction of Messines, passing Lidol on your left. Continue straight through the next roundabout and over a narrow bridge. About five kilometres outside Silves you will see a left hand turn marked Pedreira. Ignore this but take the very next left turn. Continue down this road, passing a small garage (Oficina) on your left until you reach a T junction (about 950 meters). Don’t worry that the road seems to go to a single track for a short distance. The house is straight in front of you as you reach the T junction.
